eMentoring

Do you wish you had a mentor, but have never had the time for face-to-face meetings?

Do you wish you had a mentor but have never found someone who you feel you can trust?

Do you wish you had a mentor but feel uncomfortable about using friends, family or co-workers?

eMentoring May Be Right For You

In addition to my traditional mentoring services, I am now offering mentoring via electronic means. This means over the phone, via email and via Instant Messaging on Yahoo.

To see if eMentoring is right for you, call me and let's talk or email me and we can start that way.

What Is A Mentor?

Everyone who has or who has ever had a mentor tailors the experience to their own style and needs, but there are some common elements. A mentor is:

Some one who you trust.

Some one with whom you can "talk" openly.

Some one who will be honest with you.

Someone to bounce ideas off of.

Someone to hold you accountable.

Someone to support you.

Someone to challenge you.

And more...

How does eMentoring Work?

eMentoring sessions can occur at any time of the day or evening. For ad hoc questions or issues, brief phone calls or emails work well. For more focused and extended mentoring sessions, then phone calls and Instant Messanging work best. Ad hoc issues are ones, which can be addressed quickly and need not be scheduled. Focused sessions, however, are scheduled mutually to allow for the proper attention and concentration.

How much does eMentoring Cost?

In typical consultant style, I must say, "it depends". I generally allocate 1 hour per month for all the ad hoc questions and we agree on an amount of time for the scheduled, focused sessions. This type of mentoring is not right for everyone, so I would like for us to talk by phone before we try to establish a mentoring relationship. Even better, if you are in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex area, I would like to meet face-to-face at least once before we agree on a relationship.
